Higher Chisworth, Derbyshire
The first couple of before pictures of this garden design project set among the rolling hills of the Derbyhire Peaks really demonstrate why my first visit to this project should have sent me running for the hills as it was little more than an overgrown steep slope. Instead I saw an opportunity to create a truly unique set of landscapes within an area of outstanding natural beauty. The landscape design for this had to be submitted for council conservation officer approval, even down to moving the garden shed and installing a green roof. It has gone on to receive national and international recognition with awards in the UK and the USA a fact that makes me feel very proud. It was also featured in a six page spread in “Derbyshire Life” magazine. A pdf copy of which can be read in my press gallery.
