The brief here for this front garden design in Didsbury in Manchester North West UK, to create off road parking whilst at the same time retaining a garden feel. This project also had to meet strict local council planning requirements. The use of reclaimed materials helps to give a more settled look to the hard landscaping and is in keeping with the period of the house. A staggered path from the parking area is surrounded by dense planting meaning this space has more of a garden aesthetic than parking area. New sandstone piers were also designed and made by a local stone mason. A brick arch and cedar gate was designed for the side of the house to replace a tired and unattractive wooden gate.
